I have been aware of Ulrich Lang New York for a long time. This niche fragrance brand created by Lang is part European, part metropolitan New York. His first fragrance launch was Anvers- which I liked quite a bit but perhaps because of its unique notes and blend, I wasn't quite "ready" for it. Fragrance is often a choice based on the time of your life as well as how it smells on you (which is also based on body chemistry for a certain time of your life). It was a lot of fragrance that came out in "different tones or notes at different times."
Recently Lang launched another scent- Anvers 2-. This luscious scent is different from the first and most assuredly light, subtle yet packs a subtle but distinct wallop when it comes to a "slow burn" in terms of sex appeal. While it's warm and sexy, it's light enough at the opening and heart that almost any man would love to wear this as it's not overwhelming -but a woman might love this one so much, she just might steal it. ( I did!)
Perfect for the man who is extremely confident with a distinct sense of self and knows what he wants, how to get it and how (and when) to share. He's not overbearing but intelligent; strong and gentle at the same time; sophisticated with an open-ness that is engaging. (My sort of man actually). It's so clean, fresh and yet potent, that it's perfect for a woman too so watch out because some female just might steal it.
Notes:
TOP: Bergamot, lime, lemon, black pepper, rhubarb, cypress
HEART: Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine, Lily, Mimosa, Blond Woods (cedarwood, sandalwood), vetiver
BASE: Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Musk, Amber, Olibanum and Oakmoss.
It's a subtle blend, opening slowly like a lovely melody with notes chiming in creating a lovely and luscious symphony of fragrance that wears nicely down to soft essences. Think of it as a soft whisper in your ear or a melody running through your head that you can't get rid of -because you like it so much. It's highly addictive!! The packaging is just like the fragrance- stunning!
Where to find this lovely scent? Check the Ulrich Lang New York website and also Luckyscent.com if you can't wait. (tell them I sent you. I left a review there- that's how much I love this fragrance. ).
