Czech beauty PETRA NEMCOVA used to starve herself in order to fit in with other models.

The supermodel is famed for her shapely curves now, but admits she tried a range of diets, including a fruit-only eating plan, at the beginning of her modelling career.

She tells Britain's Closer magazine, "I may have curves now, but when I started it was in the middle of the heroin chic phase. The likes of Kate Moss and Jodie Kidd almost forced everyone to be really skinny. I tried a number of diets, from eating very little or just protein to having only fruit all day.

"It was terrible for my metabolism and took me years to recover".
