A leading light amongst a blossoming new wave of futuristic and creative designers, Ika's adventurous yet seductive designs flow out with a powerful "exotic radiance." In this collection Ika has combined her love of working with other innovative individuals with a new vision of Egypt; the metamorphosis that the ancient civilization has endured leading to the present.

With her partner John Keilman and her husband Jay Bouton, Ika has taken her new collection "On the Desert Road to Alexandria" to new heights, using a unique combination of patch techniques with slashing, piping, embroidery and hand work.

Ika's latest fashion design will be on catwalk on Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter and HKTDC World Boutique, Hong Kong. The show will be on Monday 12 January 2009 at 8 pm. Hong Kong Fashion Week for fall/Winter will held 12-15 January 2009 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter is the largest fair of its kind in Asia, and the second largest in the world. World Boutique, Hong Kong is Asia's pioneer show promoting designer collections and brands from around the world. The two fairs will gather more than 1,600 exhibitors under one roof, to provide a wide spectrum of ready-to-wear garments, accessories and designer collections as well as lifestyle products.

The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2009 will also be a highlight. In three categories - Casual & Jeans-wear, Contemporary Day-wear and Party & Evening-wear - the finalists' designs will be staged on the first day of the fair to compete for the best collection in each category as well as the Overall Winner Award.
